Creative Ideas To Consider During Your Home Remodel

It doesn’t matter if you own a small condo or a massive mansion – everyone could use one of the ideas on this list to make their home more functional – and fun!

Really Brilliant Ideas To Consider When Remodeling Your Home

Are you looking for some way to make your home a little bit unique? Or perhaps you have limited space and what to utilize every possible inch? Check out our list of neat remodeling ideas.

Convert Your Staircase Into Useful Space

If you have a staircase in your home, the space underneath can be used for a variety of purposes. First, many homeowners add shelving under the steps, providing a new bookcase. Or, if the area is out of the way, a small desk can be added to create an office space.

For pet owners, turning this area into a doghouse, built-in crate, or enclosed space for litterboxes is a great idea!

Finally, if you’re a wine lover, consider turning the area under your stairs into a huge wine rack – perfect for storage!

Make A Secret Room

This is easier than it sounds – simply build a set of bookshelves set back into the wall that match and make the back of a door include those shelves!

Create A Walk-In Shower

If you have enough space in your bathroom, create a deep walk-in tile shower that is deep enough that doors don’t need to be added! This way you have no glass to clean and no curtains to replace on a regular basis.

Put A Bar Around The Edges Of Your Deck

If you have a deck, think about adding a 6-inch to 12-inch edge where you and guests can set plates and glasses or where potted plants can rest. This adds valuable surface area in your outdoor space!

Running Out Of Fridge Space? Add One To The Island!

Do you have an island in your kitchen? Think about adding a mini fridge into that dead space to increase your ability to keep foods cold. Or, you could specifically add a wine fridge if you love wine!

Install Accordion Glass Windows

If you really love to open up a space between your kitchen and outdoor deck or seating area, consider accordion windows. This will provide you with an area where foods and drink can be passed from inside to outside with ease.

Install A Two Sided Fireplace

If you are thinking about adding a fireplace, don’t just let it warm one room. Instead, install it between a kitchen and living room, the living room and dining room, or, if you really want to spoil yourself, a bedroom and bathroom. Imagine taking a bath in front of a warm fire. How relaxing!

No Windows? No problem!

Do you have a powder room that has no windows? Consider adding mirror tile to one of the walls to brighten up the space and to add a textured look.

Add A Doggy Bath In The Garage

Gone are the days of giving Fido a bath in your bathroom or using a hose outside. Instead, add a small tiled dog wash in a corner of the garage so that bathtime and cleanup are easy. This way you can give your sweet pup a bath any time of the year!

Grow A Garden Indoors

Do you have a kitchen wall that gets great light but seems empty? Build a vertical garden where you can grow all of your own herbs and maybe even a vegetable or two!

Your home can be transformed with just a few projects and a little imagination!
